Bragging

Jolt - 4" for fm and 5" for male. I am keeping them in a 29 with barbs, loaches and cories.

Cerianthus - The proper scientific name is Australoheros oblongum. They were only found in the wild in the 1800's, and have not been discovered since. I have no idea if the were facetum at one point, but they do share some similarities, you're right. However, they don't get as big, and are not very aggressive fish at all.

These pictures are kind of crappy. They really don't show the color very well. They are so much brighter than these pictures make them.

Sadly the dogfish wasn't a freebie from toddnbecka. I got her in June.

Thnax for the info. I am not so sure about not avail until now since 1800.
I think Chanchito were avail but was not popular nor this color morphwas avail.

Anyway, it is Nice! Hope to see frys soon!

It's not that they weren't available. It's just that they were found once in the wild, and haven't been seen in the wild since. Every oblongum in captivity is descended from those original specimens. These are their own species now, and not really a color morph. They have been in the hobby for a while, but there are not many around.

Jolt - what do you mean "buy feeders for"? I believe the 2" juvies from the same batch of fry as my pair went for about $19 a piece.

Not bad for 2" juvie in that color morph.
Oh, you are Buffalonian. I was Buffalonian for about 6 yrs while attending UB in 70 -80's. Last time i visited Ellicott Complex was about 12 yrs ago. I bet lot has changed since then as it has changed so much from early 80's to late 90's.
I remember decent lfs somehwere in Tonawanda, not too far from where I used live in Raintree Complex by Siver Creek??, I think.

Wow! it has neen a while.

I live right near the north campus. No snow yet. Friggin cold though. That store is the Fish Place. They pissed me off, so I don't go there anymore.

Depends on how long you QT them first. Personally, I probably won't add anything to this tank without QT'ing them for a couple of weeks from now on.
