Looks similar to mopani. If you don't mind taking a risk, get some and soak it for a while and see how it behaves. I think I may actually have some in my tank because a couple pieces of mopani aren't behaving like mopani - but I can't say they are or aren't for sure, so I won't mislead you by telling that story.
 
Manzanita.... yes, aquarium safe.

Not sure how much that place wants, but check out www.manzanita.com. They'll put together a pretty nice "aquarium" package for about $40/shipped. Call them up, tell them what you had in mind as far as wood, and they'll send you some. Usually it's about the same maximum length for that price. Meaning, if you want really long pieces, they'll send you less piecies, and if you want short, they'll send you more.
 
We've got people selling great manzanita packages here for really good prices. Most of the driftwood in my tanks is manzanita, and it seems to discolor the water far less than other woods as well. Great stuff, really.
