I agree. Running your tank for a month is different than cycling...can you please clarify this before we jump into the realm of stocking...

How about threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri)? I realized though they're not colorful but are entertaining to watch.

go with australia rainbows.
they absolutly love long tanks
before anyone persuades you..
they might not look 100% colourful at ur lfs but trust me when theres plants in the tank
just get rainbow fish and like 6 otos
i dont know the names of rainbow fish but i will have a look.
maybe like 5-15 rainbow fish and 4-6 otos
