I am going to order a light for my newly planted 20 L and have looked at many different brands. I was think about going with 1 x 65 coralife or USA Satellite. Does anyone have suggestions and what I really should be looking for. I really would like to buy something that is not too expensive but of good quality. Any help will help! Thanks in Advance.

I have both lights that you mentioned and like them both.The one thing I do like about the Satellite,and people will probably think this is a stupid reason for liking it is,that the lens for the light can be slid off for cleaning or replacing the bulb,where as with the Coralife you have to take the end of the light apart to clean or replace bulb.And the legs for the Coralife are a piece of crap because the brackets that come with the legs have to be filed down to slide into the light.Both run about the same temperature wise.

I just bought this USA satelite and it seems very nice! It is only a 24" light and I have it on my 20L but it lights up the whole thing. I dont know much about planted tanks and this actually is my first and I only have one plant in it as of right now. But today Im going out to buy some more, any suggestions as to what will look good in a 20L? I am trying to cover up the filter I have in there (internal fluval 3+) and the ladder for CO2. the plant I have now is a red melon sword
