Hey guys, to put it simply..whats the difference between a amazon sword and a brazilian sword? The guy at the store told me that the Brazilian grows slight higher, and usually developes bigger leafs with them sprouting on stems, rather then at the root like amazons.

Also, are they both simular in terms of care and maintenance or does the brizilian require more light, iron, etc?

I ask because i bought both, 1 brazilian, 2 amazons.

Thanks!

There are many species and cultivars of swordplants, for some of those check out the pictures and descriptions at www.tropica.com/

Around here, plants labeled as "Brazilian Swords" are commonly Spathyllum, Peace Lily. That is not a a submerse plant at all, but will do fine as a large bog plant.
