I am looking into breeding bettas,I need all the help I can get,A walkthrough would be greatly apperciated, the betta fry do have a future, Most will be sold, some will be given or traded, and some I will keep for future breeding. I planned on housing my male and female bettas in a three gallon bowl and set next to each other for a couple of weeks so they will see each other, but I also thought of using a 5 gallon bowl(which is alot cheaper than a 5 gallon tank) and splitting it in the middle male on one side, female on the other. They would be able to see each other easier, and would be cheaper. Then I planned on moving the male to a 5 gallon bowl and using the styrofoam cup idea for him to build a nest. Then of course i would put the female with the male then after they mate, move her back to her side of the other 5 gallon, then let the male take care of the eggs until the fry are free swimming, then put the male back on his side. Think this will work? I will probably use a mini filter for hte bowls.
