As most of you know, i have a betta that i been looking for a female for months now. And havent really been searching due to my Arowana problems.

Now that i have time, and a friend of mine found a female Butterfly CT with the exact same pattern, i asked him if i can barrow her to breed with mines. The answer was yes...so here it goes.

Heres the male.

Will be getting the female tomarrow, and updating this thread tonight.

Any tips towards breeding bettas would be great, i been doing alot of reading and im pretty sure theres more out there to know.

Thanks. Will update.

P.S. When breeding the two CT Butterflys, will i end up with fry with the same Butterfly coloration as the father and mother?

If breeding them is a success, i will be giving them away to anyone willing to take care of them since i wont have room to keep every single one. Since theres not that much Butterfly CTs around, i would like to charge only 2-3bucks =]

so any updates yet? is the male starting his bubble nest? its easy for him if u cut a styrofoam cup in half and let him make it in there or something.. do u have anything like that going on in the tank?

^Yeah. I did the half cup thingy.

Even added natrual almond leaves to tint the water and condition it.

He havent made a nest yet weirdly.

He would flare up at the female, the female would look at him, and swim away. Im starting to think the female is too young, or the male is too old.
