I have about 6 adult Sterbai Cory's and was wondering if anyone know's how to get them to breed. Do they lay there egg's on the glass like Albino cory's or are they mop spawners? And advise would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck! Sterba's cories are my favorite!

Condition with high protein food. live is best but nor required.

Skip a water change during the conditioning period. Wait for a storm and as it is about to hit, do a big water change with cooler water than what is in the tank.

They will stick the eggs to pretty much any solid surface- the glass, the filter, plants etc. They will also eat their own eggs so you will probably have to pull them and hatch them in a sept container/small tank. You should have MethylBlue on hand to prevent them from getting fungus. Remove the blue via wc and carbon when you see wigglers.

The problem with breeding sterbais is not getting them to spawn, rather is is raising the fry. Be sure you have good tiny fry food for them and you keep their water pristine.
