hi-
question for you...if i go to a pet store and pick out two of any common clownfish and bring them home and put them in a fowlr tank with a couple other fish will they become a breeding pair? or how does that work?

They probably will become a breeding pair. Just get two juvenile clowns add to tank in the perfect world the more dominant fish will turn female and the smaller of the two will be male. They SHOULD form a breeding pair no further effort needed on you part ,"we hope". I know you haven't said anything about this but, they don't need an anemone they wouldn't ever even have seen one.

No an Anemone is not needed but your clowns will probably do better, however i am going to buy one of those fake rubbery ones that look very realistic.
