i bought some LR a while back and it had a group of nice orange polyps on it. i was hoping they would multiply, but sadly after 9 months or so i have just as many as i started with. any ideas on what makes these things breed??

what lighting do you have in this tank mate? I know in another thread you were thinking about changing the lights, dont know if you did or not..

It may be that your lighting is not good enough for the corals..

Could be one of several things. What kind of lighting do you have? As axnixon said, there may not be enough light. There also could be a lack of the right water params its would need, or maybe it just isn't a kind that propogates.

it may also be a question of avalible trace elements in yoru water. how often are you doing water changes?

im only using a couple of flos right now(80w). so its probably the lights. my my water is good as far as ph, ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. dont test for anything else. although im still using tap to fill up. until i get RO/DI. i havent got the new HO lights yet. but they are a couple weeks away.

its just fowlr now. do you think i should be testing for more?? dont have mouch of a fish load for a 75g, just a couple of small damsels and 5 turbos.
