and give me all ur experience on breeding goldfish

thnx

i would say you could keep 10-12 in there. add lots of bunches of live hornwort or something similar for them to spawn into. my goldfish spawn every few weeks now. i would keep maybe 3 males to 7-9 females.

it would be best to remove the eggs as the parents will eat them all if they can get to them. mine hatched in around 2 days, and i left them in an algae covered 2ft tank with live plants and no other fish. the fry ate stuff from the plants until they were a few weeks old, then i started adding crushed up pellets which they ate. i think thats about all i can tell you about my experience with spawning.

If you plan on having any control over how the fry turn out, or being able to have a chance at repeating successful batches of fry (quality wise) I would only put in your 1 best female, and your 2 best males. Spawning mops or soft leaved plants like Kelly suggested are a good means of egg collecting. I would advise against using the 120 right off the bat though, as it means having to put exponentially more food in there in order to get proper food density for the fry, meaning its harder to keep water quality up to the standards that you want. A better solution would be to raise the fry in batches in 10 or 30 gallon tanks, and move your best juveniles to the 120 for grow out purposes. Anecdotal evidence suggests that shallower water produces better shape in developing fry, and it is imperative that you feed the developing juveniles a high quality diet rich in live/frozen foods and a high protein content in order to develop good head growth.

i was think of using 8 high quality ranchu and put it in the 120g after they laid the egg i will take the egg out and put it in a 10g

Where are you going to get 8 high quality Ranchu? I'm always looking myself.

Make sure your fish are all from the same line. Crossing lines can set you back considerably. You'll get lots of single tails or dorsal fins.

what you mean from crossing line??? iam planning of getting it from ranchumaniax or goldfish utopia

If you get generally available commercial ranchu you're best off to buy as many from the same stock as possible. With higher end fish it's less of an issue because their traits are fixed.

Are you getting TVR or SVR.

You should come over to goldfish keepers. That's where the serious breeders are.
