They were begging for food after just an hour in the tank! haha. They didn't eat as much as I assume they will in the next few days, but they were definitely willing!

Yes, 2" is the smallest (white butterfly) and 4" is the biggest (altum flora)

Thank you!

Looks good Bree!! I remember how exciting it was to get my first!!
Stunning group!!

Thank, Steph! I really am enjoying them. They have brightened up more and more- even by the hour. The video and pictures are already outdated they've colored up so much! And on top of that they are all really confident now, swimming up and down around the tank. I couldn't be happier with my order :)

The only thing that had me spooked so far was last night. The room light was on, but the tank lights have been off since they arrived (to help them settle in). It was super late and so they were probably in their night-stage. I walked in and it almost look like they jerked awake when I walked toward the tank! They darted all over, a couple even hit the tank sides and the altum flora splashed at the surface. It was terrifying! They hid for a few minutes and then came back out and acted normal.

Is that just something they will have to grow used to as they get more comfortable? Or do you discus-keepers come across this darting thing sometimes? Like when they are startled or lights are turned on?

Fed again today and they went berserk over the bloodworms! All of them swarmed around my hand. I can't wait for the new AngelsPlus food to arrive. I ordered: 8 ounces of Garlic Flake, 3 ounces of De-worming flake, 8 ounces of Vitamin Flake, 1 pound of 1.5mm fry starter and I got a free sample of Earthworm Flake.

I'll post a review upon arrival and trial :)

All 6 are doing great, happily swimming about the tank.

Yesterday: one 40% WC, two %15 WCs (cleanup after meals)

I think I'll keep that as my daily WC schedule, it seems to make them happy and comfortable :) Not to mention I can't stand the tank bottom not being spottless! That should come in handy in the long run :)

they'll get used to shadows, lights and sounds as they settle in.

i have noticed though, that the 'startled while in sleep mode' thing will either go away with time, or never go away at all. i have a tank full of adults that have been with me for MONTHS, and i still wake up to filter intakes and pre-filters floating, een had a few heaters break and heads and sides bruised.

i would say, at this stage of their acclimation, keep the shadows to a minimum, walk up to the tank slowly when its lights on time, or when lights are off in the day. eventually they will realize shadows or lights on is a good thing(FOOOOOOOOD!)

are you planning on using a Beefheart/Seafood/Fish mix in their diets at all? ken makes a pretty good heart flake, but nothing beats fresh meat :)
