I have 2 Brig clutches that were laid on Feb. 13th. They still haven't hatched! I took them out of the tank and put them in a plastic container. I sat them on a damp sponge and put the container on top of the aquarium lights so they would build up some humidity. I air the container out everyday.

I'm under the impression that they should've hatched by now...

Have they dried up or possibly infertile?

The little lady that left the clutches hadn't been with a male for almost 2 weeks, but they're supposed to be able to hold sperm for quite a while right?

No, no blue or anything. They still look the same tan color like they do after they harden at 24 hours.

Are you keeping the sponge wet? The method that you employ is usually done best if the sponge is floated on top of the water. You say it has been two weeks and they still look the same as when first layed? If so try breaking one open. If it is just goo then they are not fertile?

The sponge stays damp. If they're broken open, then they are gooey.. :(

Okay, so I can get rid of them then. I put a male in with her again last night, so maybe they'll get to "jumpin'" and I can get some fertile babies then. :D Thanks for all the input!

Thanks! I can't wait for them to get busy!
