bright lights w/ java fern

can i grow java fern in a 5 gallon tank w/ 15 watts of lighting?

It is my understanding that java fern can grow in a bucket of water in a closet. Maybe not really, but I think it would be happy in your tank. Java fern is one of my favorite plants since it is practically indestructable.

Oh yeah, I think because the lights will be so bright it will probably grow very long leaves. I have no direct experience with this amount of light but that is what I read somewhere.

It can be done, unfortunatlyu everytime i try it they die though. My brother has tons of sucess with it though in higher lighting.
