Ok, so yesterday I sent a PM to MsJ saying I thought _maybe_ my little pink brig I got from her last week might have grown a little. She says (more or less), sure, they grow fast. Today I KNOW for absolute certain that she's grown!! Holy cow! She's nearly twice the size she was when she arrived!!! I was going to uncover the brine shrimp cup to give them a bit of a stir for some oxygen, and the cup is right next to the nano that I put Brigsby in, and I look and there she is on my driftwood! OMG! She's HUGE compared to last week!! :lol2: I took pics. I've got a wc to do on my quarantine tank, and then I'll process them to show you last week and this week!

Ok... here's Brigsby last week, the day I got him/her (I always say her because "she's" pink):

Note the size difference from the brig and the zebra nerite up and left of her...

Now note the size difference between the brig and the zebra nerite!

She's gone from the size of the end of my little finger (and I have pretty small hands) to the size of the end of my thumb in a little less than a week!

About 80 to 82. She'll be going in my Amazon tank when she's bigger (and it's all put together), and that, or a little higher, is about what I'll keep that tank at, too.

the higher the temp, the faster the metabolism and faster they mature and die, from fast old age,.. my adults have mysteriously died already all from the warmer tank and the cooler tank they are fine,?? must be true
were adults when i got them,.. 3 died all the same time within a week

temp at 70-78 is better..

Hmm... I'll turn down the temp a couple, then. And I guess she won't be able to go into the Amazon tank, then. :( I figured she'd be a nice addition, since they are Amazonian. Oh well. I'll love her no matter which tank she lives in!

If that Amazon setup also turns out to have soft acidic water, it's another issue for the snail. I agree with the rest. High temperature is a no no with mystery snails.
