Yes i see that but if you are going to treat the main tank anyways you miight as well jsut leave the BN in there too. This will save setting up a Q tank(which some people dont' have) and stressing the sick fish out more.

has anyone ever done this before?? I went and removed my pleco and put him in a q tank and i hadn't been able to get any meds yet and he has been in there for about 1.5 days and i checked on him today and the ich was gone. All i did was put him in pristine water.

DO some research on ich. It goes through stages and one of the stages is where the cysts(the white dots) fall off. Then they become free swimming and find a new host.
If you are sure it was ich then i would treat anyways as there is still ich in the tank.
And yes i have treated for Ich before. Its very easy to cure.
