Bristle worms

I've got a bunch of baby bristle worms. They're orange with black spikes, and about 2-4 mm long. I've got about a dozen that I could find, probably more hiding in rock.

should I leave them be, or get something to eat them?
 
Ah, okay. They're inhabiting the same piece of liverock as one of my feather dusters, which seems to have vanished.

I'll leave them be then.

If it is the mini-feather dusters that you are referring to, they will come and go depending on your water quality/parameters
 
Yeah, it was back today, they tend to come out after I dump in food for them, or at night. One is VERY skittish, it'll only come out after I sit down, stay still, and wait for 20 minutes!

As soon as the 2.5 gallon tank is full, I'm going to do a water change.
 
Bristle worms are great members of your clean up crew, but if you ever find a huge one that makes you squeamish or you think you just have too many...a turkey baster used at night is a great weapon. Sucks them right up.
 
Okay, lol! How about a large syringe? I've got a few that I've sterilized, one was bought just for removing aiptasia. I'm going to leave them alone for now, but if I get too many, I'll start removing some of them and putting them in a quarantine tank.
