If the bristle worm is small, ie 2 inches, don't worry about it.
If it is big, cuz they can get to be a foot long, I would dispose of it

If you get rid of it, don't touch it, use needle nose pliers or another clean instrument to get it out. The bristleworms bristles can get lodged in your skin.

that sounds like it would hurt. He is only about an inch or so...

Bristle worms are a great part of your cleanup crew.

Agreed. They are an excellent part of your cleanup crew! Providing they are small. They tend to grow like weeds and so you will need to keep an eye on them as they can get fairly large and become disruptive to your tank.
How big is your tank?
I wouldn't worry about them until they are a few inches long.... when it's that big, come back and we'll tell you how to catch it!

Oh, and take the advice given above - never touch them with your hands! The bristles come off as a defense mechanism and are they are sharp, painful slivers..... yuck!

it is a 10 gal but the worm isnt very big maybe about an inch or so
