I want to get a bristlenose for my 55 gal. tank. But will it eat my driftwood? I love my driftwood!! I had a common pleco in another tank and it ATE my wood down to a nub!!!!Will a bristlenose do the same?

Bristlenose don't eat as much wood as the commons. They will nibble a bit, but not as a primary source of food. I've never noticed any damage to my wood, and the bristlenose have been in there for a few years now.
Maybe it depends on the type of wood that the common plecos are given. I have cypress pieces, and my common pleco has literally sawed one piece in half, and a big piece at that.
My clown pleco is small and does no damage.
I've had mine for about 5-6 months now. It's been my exp. that they do like to chew on the driftwood. In fact thats basically where it stays most of the time. I've seen it eat the drift wood while pooping it out the other end.
