I know what kind I have (Eurythoe camplanata) and every one I have seen is the same type and they are detrivores, but I found today that my small Pistol shrimp has somehow lost his smaller claw arm. There really isn't anything stock-wise (anything I directly bought) that COULD have done anything except a Peppermint shrimp, but I dont know how likely or even possible that would be, but the only other things in there is his Goby partner and snails/hermits. There are quite a few big bristle worms in the tank though and while they scavange could one of them maybe have tried to get the Pistol? Maybe when he was asleep or something? Will his claw arm ever grow back? I really enjoyed his obsession rearranging pebbles in his entrance now he cant do it as well missing the arm :-( I will leave the bristles in there if they are ok, but seeing the size of some of them compared to the Pistol makes me worried. Most of them are about 4-6 inches or smaller... but there are two that are probably twice that size. Should I worry about them?
