bristlnose plecos VS rubbernose plecos

Twas a joke. A very lame one at that...
I've only dealt with rubbernoses briefly so I can't tell the difference other than looks.
they are definitely different species.
the Ancistrus (bristlenose) do require wood in their diet and they are mainly vegetarian. they feed primarily on algae and have the distinctive log gut of typical of vegetarian species,,,while they can eat many fish foods their diet should consist primarily of veggies.. wood is thought to be a good addition to the tank as the BN like to hide in the wood and may benefit with rasping on the wood.
Rubbernosed do not have the same requirement in food and at least for now are , omnivores they benefit from a varied diet. they will eat algae as well as other foods

yeah thinkk i am good with BN plecos lol. may get 3 more for my 45 in a few weeks ( so 6 total ) i am deffently starting to like plecos now lol
I'd be careful about getting too many...male Ancistrus can be a conspecific aggressive if they get cramped.
hmm ill have to make sure i get 1 male 2 females * even though there not harem breeders * just like these guys alot lol
As long as you have enough caves they may be fine, but I've run into problems myself adding two males together in the same tank (30g). Didn't end well...
if you have females than 2 males is a big no in any tank. i have 2 males no females in my 55 but key word is no females. the dom male will kill over a mate. or in your case all 4 mates
