LOL, I guess I am one of those indulgent fish mommies.

Update: He's swimming around, hunting and foraging. His color looks great. i did an 80% water change and dosed again with meds at 11am.
I put a piece of algae wafer in there tonight, around 10pm, and will do
another water change and meds tomorrow.

YAY! Sounds like he'll be coming around! SO happy for you! You are seriously a pro! I didnt see anyone tell you to do differently than you did. You saw a fishy in need, early, because you pay attention and set him up in an environment that he needed to get well. You are a pro! I know you've helped me with my fishy problems... Dont be insecure! You are one heck of a fish mom!

PS: I'm sure all that indulgence is making him feel much better! heehee!

My Brochis has completely recovered. I just gave him the last dose of antibiotics last night. That makes eight days of treatment. I put a carbon filter in the Whisper filter this morning.

I'm going to leave him in the hospital for a few more days, continuing with 80% daily water changes, and then put him back in the main tank if he shows no signs of relapse. None of the occupants in the main tank have shown any signs of illness.

I'm including pics of him now, and the hospital tank. I wish I had taken pics of him when I first got him out of the main tank. He's looking good now, thankfully.



Looking good now. He had a large deep red blotch just behind the gill, with a thin streak of red extending from the blotch back along his side appx. 8mm He had deep red coloration around the pectorals, the vent and at the base of the dorsal fin all the way back. He's looking so good. I'm so grateful for everything I learned here on AC, that's what helped me save him.
