Well, I don't know if it's even possible to answer this question, but I thought maybe if someone else had had the same experience, I'd know what the chances were......

My nice $100 light took a 3 foot fall and landed on the wood floor. (courtesy of my 2 year old) One bulb doesn't work at all, and the other bulb will come on every GREAT once in awhile if I'm wiggling it, but just a barely touch will cause it to go off again.

Do you think it's just broken bulbs that I can replace?
or do you think the fall caused something to happen to the electrical "stuff" inside the light?
I really hope it's just the bulbs. I dont want to have to buy another light and don't have a clue where to take it to have it fixed.
Thanks!

Not sure what type of lighting it is, but I would guess that it could just be the bulbs. The internal components of the bulbs might be shot and the one with the on again off again problem could be loose connections. It is worth exploring with new bulbs before you dump the fixture. You can always take a pair of bulbs back to the store if it proves to be the fixture.

Check to see if the unit has starters. If one light will come on with some wiggling chances are it's the starter. Easy to replace at any Home Depot. The starter is a small barrel shaped unit that is usually placed near the ballast.

lol... I'm not even going to PRETEND to know how to take this light apart or what I'm looking at for pics. But I called a repair guy and told him what you guys said and he's coming to look. Thanks for you help!!
