broken nose

i just got back from the lfs and came home with an asian needle fish. Not a good idea. my oscars fought with is and eventually they broke the top part of its nose off. about 1/4 the way towards its eyes. i feel bad. i put it in my refugeum under the tank and he looks fine. is there anything else i should do?

Is there a cut? You should maybe take a preventative route and medicate if there is. Otherwise, I'm not sure...

Pics? Do plenty of water changes until the wounds heal. You cannot put it with your oscars anymore.

Can the fish eat? I saw a pelican with a broken beak, poor thing couldn't eat and died...

well the good thing is is that the tip just broke off. it can eat. about 1/4 the way to its eyes broke off. very sad but at least it can eat. hopefully it will survive i will try my hardest.
