Here is my tank and the setup - sorry the macro function seem not to work well. I added many plants to help compete with diatoms - could not ID some. Now come the green one on the glass.

Very Cool. I think you are doing an excellent job. Especially with your limited resources.
The green spots on the glass are Green Spot Algae (GSA)
It is normal in any Freshwater Aquarium. It can be kind of tough to get it off if you don't have a mag float or scraper.

Thanks to all. Will keep on with my work. For now I am waiting for those high plants to grow esp. hygro and for my sword to recover. I believe info' from experience people here at AC has helped me a lot so far and that limited resources just requires a lot of efforts from my own side. I will keep update how I am going with my tank.
