I've been noticing alot of it recently...

My hermit crabs started off pretty good by eating it. However, once they discovered the hair algae on my liverock..Well, it's safe to say that even seeing one on the sand is pretty rare :p

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

If its brown 'slime' it is actually bacteria. Nothing really eats it, and it is actually toxic to humans as well (if you eat it, which is why you get food poisoning from seafood often).

I gave up and just used red slime remover. Didn't hurt anything in my tank, killed it completely.

Is it a fairly new tank? Could be diatoms, which will just go away.

Yeah, it's been up and running about a month now...
SXo, hopefully it will..I'm getting tired of cleaning the glass :p

I have a 12 gallon biocube, so it's just the standard set up...

As for circulation? I really couldn't tell you...
I've been thinking of installing a small powerhead, but haven't done it yet...

Sounds good. Thanks for the tip.
