Brown Algea Problem

ok, well everywhere i went online when i was researching madarin gobies (dont get me wrong, they look awsome) say they should only be in 75 gallons+ so copepod population will be able to cope with a mandarin fish in there, in a smaller tank the mandarin fish will just eat all the copepods before they have a chance to spawn making the mandarin fish starve.

As i said i wasnt trying to sound offensive.

going to buy a another power head until i get what you suggested. all i need to do is put one up and one down right?

its not as simple as that really..just add some liquid flow and see how it moves after u put them in if it swirls fast and moves all around the flow is good if ur not happy with it move it around a bit.

yes, get a maxijet, they are good companies and rarely break down unless they arent maintained properly. One flowing towards the top of the tank to give surface agiation, and one flowing at the bottom of the tank to circulate oxygenated water around the whole aquarium. Try not to make the current too whirlpooly, if the fish or invertebrate dont seem to be able to cope with the flow, change the direction a bit until its just right.

the local lfs didnt have what needed so I will have to ride an hour or so to another store to find what you listed or me. gonna spend more money dont ya just love that lolololol

do you live in US? Theres a good website that doesnt cost that much and is regularly used on this forum. You could probably find a maxijet there.
