Brown Catfish ID please

One things for sure with mine, I know its only a baby and they grow fast so its going back to the lake in a month or so. (Before the water freezes)

please do not rerelease any fish that has been in your tank even for 5 mins....for one it is illegal, 2 it can introduce disease into the natural habitat.

I agree with rw, as will a lot of folks. Even if a fish/amphib. has been held for a few hours, as soon as it hits your fish tank, it should not be released back to where it came from.... in this case the lake.

you can also check the catalog there, they have tons of different catfish. Being as you haven't provided a really good pic, perhaps you'll have better luck checking for yourself...

Not illegal when you have clearance from the game warden and when it came out of and is going back into his private lake.
