I just bought a juvenille and put him in my 20 gal, hes getting moved up to 55 when its done cycling though. I am keeping him with my peacock eel and they are getting along great, they are sharing the same driftwood stump together. I am guessing from my experience, not from knowledge of the fish itself, that a peacock eel might be a good tankmate

As a rule of thumb, compatibility should never be based on how juvies get along.

Because as they age, fish known to be aggressive develope that aggression usually with age.

I am not familiar with the eel you have but just be careful

Bettamom, I bought him at <shudder> Petsmart, and Llamabob, you are right compatibility shouldn't be based upon juvenilles of a species however in this case my eel has been kept with guppy fry and he did not turn on them, so, i figured i would try him out with the brown knife, like i said earlier they are getting along great and they both like bloodworms, which is a blessing because the local Petsmart ran out of tubifex, lol
