brown hair algae?

cladophora algae..

I am still dealing with it. mine showed up after I ran out of CO2..but upping the dose of CO2 has no effect..
I did get some positive results with ferts tho. the growth has slowed but it is still present.
it is dropping back and is pretty easy to remove..

now I am dealing with hair algae...
still need to fine tune the ferts

i had that stuff before and got rid of it in a tank, then recently came back, only method of removal that worked for me was to fan the plants with my hands which makes the fine threads break off then mechanical filtration was cleaned after wards too.

I had this stuff infect my Java Moss. Looked like the moss was in a brown fog. Pulled out all the moss yesterday and scrubbed the driftwood down with a tooth brush. I'm really hoping it doesn't come back. Only time will tell. I was going to try to get some Algae eaters but decided to try to find the cause of the algae growth. Cleaning filters and doing a 50% w/c today. Have a HOT 250 in the mail when it gets here I'll set it up with the polish cartridge. Best I can do now, is watch and see,
