Brown Knife

I have a question, I want to know if a Brown Knife would be comfortable in a 55 Gal tank (75G upgrade verry soon) I have read conflicting information and now I am looking to the best source for help, Y'all, Maybe you have one? what are they like? what size Aquarium do they need? please help,

if they're like clown knifes, then they grow to 40 inches, so no

Unlike many knifefish they stay small
do a google search using their scientific name
Xenomystus nigri.

i dont think that most of the knifefish get that big in aquariums i could be wrong everyone says the CAN get up to large size but does anyone have one that big? i have a little black ghost knife (3.5") in a 20g right now obviously he'll need a bigger tank eventually but i thought id see how big it really will get and all else fails im sure i can find someone to take it off my hands... in the mean time i got a really cool fish... he doesnt move much during the day .. but hes fun to hand feed!

when it comes time I may want him, I have a large tank coming that my signature wont hold (over 5,000 charictors) and I think it would work for it, so if you wanted to sell him I would probably be interested. Thanks!
