i have a 20g with 3 adult guppies, about a dozen month old fry and 7 cory catfish. just a few days ago i started to notice a brown "haze" on one of my plastic plants. And just over a few days it has gotten bigger. Not darker, still light enough to be easily overlooked, and there are even a few patches of it on the bottom and sides of the aquarium. (its so weird because it seems like you can see the leaf or something normally, but the edges are fuzzy brown)Should I just wash it off, or is this the beginning of a big problem?

PS- the water is fine, checked it when i first noticed, and today

*lol, imagine getting a reply about algae at this hour so quickly... you can tell what we like to do with our spare times :D*

It could be hair algae i had that on one of my tanks once about 6 months ago it would grow on the plants and the decorations it wasnt really growing on the walls of the tank i would clean it but it would keep reforming it became quite unsightly i think it was due to poor filtration or water quality
it was different that brown algae .. brown algae is brown and patch
hair algea at least the form i had was a lighter coler and stingy ..
