I got 6 new brochis today, got them home, acclimated and released and noticed one that has redness/bruising to its fin right behind its gills. Although the netting went smoothly, it did take three attempts with one of the fish. I have no way of knowing if it was this one. It is pretty active and alert and is all over the tank with its buddies. Should I do anything other than observe? They are in quarantine right now. Thanks.

:iagree: and keep the water quality excellent.

well, already today the redness is reduced by about half and it is much less angry looking. He is eating like a pig and still all over. woot! gonna do a water change anyway to keep things pristine. Thanks guys!

man oh man, I love my lfs. They are great. The bruised cory is doing steadily better, but one of the others just passed (inactive and skinny since i got it). I stopped in my lfs just to ask them if they had had any problems with any of their brochis. The hadn't so they gave me two free to replace the one dead, and one injured. I didn't take the dead fish in, no water sample needed. They just asked for my parameters on my quarantine and offered me the fish. They really take care of their customers and were more upset that I was sold an injured or unhealthy fish than anything else. Tony's Tropical fish and birds- York, PA- they are great!
