I just set up my 10 gallon tank last night. Before I put everything together I cleaned everything with bleach. This afternoon I saw the top of my tank filled with bubbles. Could this be because of the bleach or the food that I left in it to cycle the tank? I rinsed everything again just in case it was the bleach. Also I have the HOB filter on on a separate container to rinse the inside of the tubes.

Do you mean bubbles sticking to the glass and the things in the tank?
Or bubbles building up on the waters surface?

Did you use soap at all when cleaning your tank? If so that is a very bad thing to have done. Also, what substrate did you use? If it was sand, then it could be air trapped underneath it rising to the top.

No I didn't use soap. I just used bleach. I'm running everything over and over before I use anything to get rid of the bleach if it was the bleach that caused the bubbles.
