Building a fairly large cement pond DIY (+updated with pics)

Hi guys im new to this forum and fairly new to ponds but me and my bro decided to build our own pond. Its a weekend thing to do usually involving alcohol to make it a bit fun but we have done a fair bit already. Its going to be fairly large with places as deep as 3 foot. It will include two islands which will have plants etc on them. We also had a waterfall idea built with random rocks not flat rock making it fairly hard. I just posted this as a start because i know i will need help soon from any experts on here.

Pictures will be included soon to show you guys whats been done so far , any way i will update tommorow ;) :thm:

{Reposted here after placing in wrong area.}

You should never mix alchohol and construction. But, hope it turns out for you.

To be honest i havent really made my mind up as i still have at least a month until its finished then i still have to do all the water testing,balancing,etc etc.

Thanks for kudos mate, i just worked out the volume and its about 2000ltrs
What sort of pump and filter setup would you recommend for this size pond

pump and filter

I am considering a Project - Easy Jet 3000 pump has anyone used this and do you think its overboard for a 2000 ltr pond.

What about the filter i was looking at a Laguna 5000 "pressure flo" pond filter again is this too much for the above pond
