Hey there buddy...

Yeah, its coming well now...just gotta mount the actinics in the hood and paint inside the light area between bottom of lights and water level with white gloss to give some good light reflection...Next main little job is to get the baffles fitted into the sump..Ordered all the plumbing kit yesterday and the two pumps ( one for the return pump and another for the closed loop )..

How much has it cost..Well...A quick break down then....

Stand - £80
Hood - £45
Glass for display tank - £65
Sump tank £10
Metal halides - £140 ( it was a bargain, could not let that one slip by me )
Skimmer - £70
Drill bits for drilling tank ( 33mm and 45mm ) - £24
New Sand for display and sump - £30
Eheim 1260 pump x 2 - £136
Plumbing parts - £70
Beer - £ God knows how much

Think thats about it really..Gives us a total of £670 or $1,315.53 USD

Plus on top of that, i have also got to spend money bringing up the ammount of live rock which is gonna be somewhere in the regeion of £280

Hopefully more updates to follow at the weekend..

You're doing a really good job. Can't wait to see more pictures!

Hello people..

Just a quick update for anybody who is watching this thread..

Had quite a good day on it today getting some of them small jobs done...Here is what i have done today..

1) Drilled the display tank..Drilled overflow, sump return and the two holes in the base for the closed loop.

2) Fitted 4 x 80mm fans to the hood, two at each end, all sucking air in. I have changed the lighting area a little bit ( the area between the water and the lights ), i have cut to long holes in the back for hot air to blown out of the hood. Reason for this, is because if i use the fans sucking air out, the fans i expect will only last 3 -4 months max as the air will be salty and it will corrode the fans bearings.

3) Started to silicon in the baffles in the sump.

4) Drilled the two holes on the stand base where the closed loop bulkheads go..

Had nearly all the plumbing parts delieved aswell as you can see, just waiting for a couple more bits, pic of the eheim 1260 and just waiting for the Ocean Runner 6500 pump to arrive.

Ordered today aswell 4 fan covers to fit to the outside of the hood to cover the circlular holes where the fans go..
Attached some more pictures for you all to see..They are not brill as i have used my mobile phone's camera ( which is s**t )..

Any feedback is always appreciated....

Niko
