first i would like to start off by saying hello to every one today!

i have just joined AC about aweek ago and have made a few posts and all the info i have received has been very helpful and i thank you all for that.

now to the question at hand . can some one please direct me to any good sites or links on how to build a sump for a filter or have a diagram themseves that they can send me ?

and is it cheaper to build one than to buy it already together?

check out the past issuse at www.reefkeeping.com there is three parts telling you how to build a sump. (myself, i just bought a hang on overflow, the biggest tank i could fit under my stand, and then i'm searching for the perfect return pump)
 
Lot's of good sump information.
At the end of the page are links to several different sump designs. This is a good link- one I referred to many times while I was designing and building my system.
MUCH cheaper to build than to buy.
