Building a vivarium for red claw crabs!!!

Ktrom, hoping you'll see this so i don't have to start a new thread :) The water turned cloudy overnight!!! I rinsed the sand, and stones...all the decorations....There is literally nothing in there to make it cloudy! Is it normal? Should I pump the water out and refill the water side?? I'm guessing its normal from the sand but i'm not positive. Will it be ok to put the crabs in on friday??

If it's real wood you could get a bacterial bloom. Also the sand could've been stirred up by water movement and dust could cloud the water ( if the sand isn't cleaned out good enough you can still have dust)

Also forgot to mention, test the water parameters today and the rest of the week. If even thing is in check ( no ammonia, no nitrites, and little to no nitrates... Say 20ppm or so) then I see no harm in putting the crabs in. Just watch to see if they seem stressed or not. That's a pretty good sign that something's wrong

thanks a lot. i took the log out, because it was sooo giant. had everything tested today, although it was only 24 hours and everything was good. I added rosies, since thats what i'm giving for live food. Thanks again :) I"ll update again when i get them, if you even care that much :)

UPDATE: Well, i WAS gonna post a pic tonight- but they are some busy crabs!! 2 are fishing, one is eating a rosie- and one is currently munching on the moss ball i got them. best critters EVER!
