building tank stand

The top and back are compressed wood.
The frame is some tropical wood, not 100% sure which type. Would guess it is meranti or anything like it.
I live in Thailand and simply go to a yard where I choose the pieces I like.
They'll rough-cut and plane it, then put the frame together for me like I want it.
Once delivered, I'll start to sand and paint it, and put the top and back-side on.
I put on 2 layers of Wood Stain and 3 or 4 layers of matte finish (Beger Clear)
I have another stand outside just like that, only smaller by 30cm in length. After a year, no problems at all.
