Bulb change question

Hey all,
I plan on getting an Odyssea Power Compact 96 watt light for my 55 gallon that has a few live plants. The tank gets oodles of natural sunlight too in the morning. My question is.....how often does the bulb need to be replaced if I run it 10 to 12 hours a day?

For best results, replace the light every 6 months or in the very least, once a year.

10-12 hours of light is too much...a planted tank should realistically only need 8-10 and if it does get a lot of natural sunlight, even less.

Ok thank you for the replies. I will get a timer for the light then as I work 12 hour shifts.

Good idea, timers are great investments. Home improvement shops should sell them pretty cheap.
