I'm building a DIY canopy and was just wondering how you guys attach bulb holders for T8 fluorescents to it. I see they have a slot on them, but i really want them secure and not sure what the best way to do it would be. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just screwed mine into the hood.
Most are "L" shaped and have the slot in the "_" part of the "L". Of course they are designed to work inverted like a "7" (can't do an inverted "L") so you screw them into the top/ceiling of the canopy and you're good to go.

so you put a screw directly throught the holder near where you connect the wires? is there anything running inside of the plastic that i need to avoid hitting with the screw?
