bulbs bought at wal*mart?

I bought a pack of these over a month ago. I put two bulbs in my 26g and they are going like crazy. I also put two in my gold fish tank but he keep rooting them up so this Tuesday I put them in a new 10g that I will be adding puffers too. I repaced them with 2 new bulbs and notice today that I saw a little something popping out.. So, so far mine I been doing good..

my friend buys those for all of her betta tanks. she says only one out of two or three grows but keeps buying them anyways. they also have a guarantee on the back but she has never sent any back.
