bulkhead sizes

I am in the process of buying bulkheads..and i am questioning the size(s) i should be using.

i have a tall 100(+)gal tank.

I have a sump and i have 2 pumps but dont know if i should use both.



also. possibly off subject, would 5/8 tubing fit 3/4 barbs

The most common sizes are a 1 inch drain with a 3/4 inch return which allows for about 600GPH for each set.

yep 1 inch is what i use.

1 inch out, two 3/4 in returns, although I wish I would've gone with 1/2" on the returns for a little more pressure. Guess I need to get a more powerful return pump instead.
