bumble bee gobys???

i have a german blue ram, which is around 2 inches in size. his fins are fairly long, though i wouldn't consider him a long-finned ram. i was thinking about getting bumble bee gobys but i heard they are fin nippers?
has anyone had any experience with the gobys and does it make a difference in how many of them you keep.

Hi, I'm not sure about the fin-nipping, but their water preferences are quite different than the ram's, so I don't think they'd be suitable tankmates. Most bumblebee gobies do best in hard, alkaline water and are fussy eaters, requiring live or frozen food. Since they're both bottom-huggers there may be territorial and food issues as well.

Like all things fish related, very often the outcome differs but general rule is that gobes are extremely territorial and will nip fins of any fish they consider intruders.
on the other hand, I have had two bumble bee gobies in a community tank with goldfish, tetras, and rams.
