i hope they hatch for you!just a quick question, are bumble bee gobies fw or bw?i have heard that they are fw,if they are brackish do they have to be in bw?im not trying to hijack your thread EMG,
It depends on who you talk to. Some say they will do fine in freshwater....others say they need brackish. I have my adults in slightly brackish and the eggs/fry are in fresh. BB's spawn in freshwater and the fry will remain in the freshwater for a time before traveling down to brackish.
I have done some research and apparently there are two distinct species of bb's available in the aquarium hobby. One species does NOT do well at all in freshwater...and the other species is more tolerant. The ones I have are supposedly more tolerant of freshwater.
Well, I spotted one tiny little goby fry in the tank today......but what really stinks is..........I did a water change in that tank...today....and I was so sure that there weren't any fry yet that I never checked the bucket to see if I syphoned any out...
Hate when stupid stuff like that happens...lol.........oh well, just hope there's more in there. They're so very tiny and hard to see..there must be...I can still see developing eggs in the shell...so maybe that guy was the first to venture out.
