Bunnies of Snails?

So I have just setup a rubberware 3g tank that is see through with a Azoo Palm Filter, a hydor heater and a light from my 20g tank that is crappy and flashes on and off. The substrate is a combo of the black gravel that is fine not to fine and eco-complete. I have some type of floating plants can't remember name right now. I want a type of snail that breed lie bunnies! I want this snail to look nice and sell-able. Also what are some types of plants I could put in this tank? I believe the light is 18watts so 9watts cause one bulb is burned out. Anything else I could put in here?
 
the only bunny-breeding snails are your common "pest" snails (Red ramshorns, MTS, and pond snails), and you cant really sell those. Japanese trapdoors will breed readily, but slowly, usually only a few babies a year.... your best bet would probably be some kind of apple snail, a pair will lay clutches fairly regularly. You can sex them by looking for the penis sheath under their shell on the opposite side of their shell relative to their siphon. Keep in mind they are seperated sex snails, so you'll need a male and a female. As for fish, your best bet would probably be a betta, not many fish that can fit in there... maybe a scarlet badis or a sparkling gourami. Most shrimp would work too, though bettas are iffy with shrimps.

How good is the wattage on that light?
 
Well, with light that high you could get pretty much any plant you could feasibly want that will fit... you'd probably need to supplement CO2 and Nitrates with only inverts.
 
Then yes, just colonize it with pond snails or red ramshorns. Keep in mind that these snails mostly eat algae, and by heavily planting the tank, you will be reducing the amount of algae you can grow.
