Buterfly cichlid

Local LFS has a few, one I really want. when I walked up to the tank he came right up to the front of the tank. What other fish can be in the tank with him?

Presumably it's a ram, in which case you MUST have soft water. It is a peaceful species and will do well with most community fish.

its probably a ram. neons would work in a smaller tank like your 26, but a 10 gallon or 15 tall is to small for a ram.

It could also be what's sometimes called the African butterfly cichlid - Analchromis thomasi...not a ram. Common names are hard, but google images of rams and A. thomasi and you'll know which it is.
