Hey everyone,
Just found this website and I must say I'm impressed with the whole she-bang. So I was hoping any catfish fanatics might be able to give me some info on a recent catfish aquisition I made. I've been looking for a cleanup fish for leftovers in my tank missed by my chilids. I found this catfish called a butter cat and I think it's from Asia. Has a long ventral fin similar to a knife but has a forked tail. It has the head of a channel catfish as well. Two long wiskers and a mottled brown appearence. Wish i could take a pic but he likes to hide int the plants. I was hoping someone had some info about this species, like size and some background. Mostly I'd like the info because I'm curious about this cool looking cat.
Thanks,
Aaron

Saw them recently at my LFS, and was told the following:

They are predatory, small fish being targetted. Not as nocturnal as pictus, but that's when they get most smaller fish (this from the LFS after putting the fish in with several tetras).

Not particularly aggressive, but will get large--think they said 10+ inches...
