Button Polyps?

Look anything like these?

We had no idea what they were for awhile as some people thought atpasia, but turns out they were cup corals.

i wonder if you could kill them with cold water and be as effective as using boiling water, maybe like get a block of RO ice and rub it on the aipstasia, then when it goes in its hole just rub it around the hole or inject slushy water. Its a thought, doesnt mean it will work though....

bad aiptasia....bad.......seek....destroy...desimate.....obliterate....

Oh, and ice does nothing for aiptasia by the way....Boiling water all the way for me....The reason boiling water is effective is because it literaly melts the glass nem away....

I would say those are glass anemones(aiptasia). But I am very new to reefs, and this entire world. And Atnixon is right. I boiled up a pot of water last night and blasted about 10 of my manajo anemones into oblivion.

Cool, thanks so much. They look so different from the other one that I have, I didn't want to kill anything good. I will get those guys tonight.

almost looks like they are starting their little colony doesnt it? Crazy how fast they grow

The other one you probably have is a manajo amenone. Just as bad as aiptasia, maybe worse since nothing eats the manajo. But reb hermits, and peppermint shrimp will eat the glass.
