Buying a fish for a friend

I would let her do her own cleaning/water changes. I understand that you're her friend but if the fish is going to be at her house then SHE needs to be able to care for it. What if you go out of town or something like that. Fish keeping is a hands on obligation. If she is not willing to take on the responsibility, I would take the tank home, and care for it there.

yup we set it up yesterday used some of my used filter media and are gonna get the beta like next week

if your not adding ammonia the bacteria will be dead by then. i wouldnt get someone something if they were not going to take care of it for their self. i can see now and then but every week. why not just let them look at your tank.

Well what we decided is I will give her another chance with a fish, if I see that she is not taking care of it then the fish comes home with me.
